Welcome, and thank you for visiting my website. I am a counsellor and psychotherapist practicing from my home in Cumbernauld, serving the community of North Lanarkshire and surrounding areas.

You may have found your way here because you are thinking about accessing counselling or psychotherapy and are seeking someone who will be the right fit for you.

Sometimes life events can come out of nowhere, and like a pebble dropped into a pond, the ripples make their way throughout our lives impacting our availablity to be in relationship with others, our ability to function at work or to cope with daily life.  We can be left feeling besieged – mentally and physically exhausted.  It may be that you have experienced personal trauma, or witnessed a traumatic event which has left you reeling, unsure how to make sense of your reactions or how to move forward. You might just feel out of sorts, not really able to put your finger on what’s wrong but knowing you feel unsettled and unhappy and that you want to make changes.

Counselling can offer a space in your life where you can talk through issues that are challenging or feel overwhelming and where talking to family or friends may feel too much. The safety and privacy of a confidential therapuetic relationship, where you feel listened to, accepted and respected can make a real difference to how you feel about yourself and your circumstances. Counselling can help you find motivation and confidence to make the changes you want, giving you back a sense of control over your life.

I hope that as you read through my website you will learn more about me and my approach to therapy, and what I might be able to offer you.
